Park Wood Deli is an absolute gem in Midland Park, NJ. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like family by the one and only “Deli Guy”—and trust me, the hype is real! My friend and I even got to hop behind the counter and help make one of their legendary sandwiches, which was such a fun and memorable experience.
The food is made with so much love—literally. The Deli Guy’s 83-year-old mom still helps cook, and you can taste that homemade goodness in every bite. The sandwiches are top-notch and the pizza is incredible too!
This place has such a loyal following, people travel from all over just to eat here. We even met someone who flew in from Texas and made it a point to stop by!
If you haven’t checked out Park Wood Deli yet, you’re seriously missing out. Add it to your must-visit list!

Went to Park Wood today 3/26/25 for the first time. Drove almost 2 hrs one way just for the experience and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The sandwiches and pizza were absolutely amazing. Also a huge deli case full of all types of salads and specials. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. And Roger “the deli guy” is an absolute gem. One of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. What you see on TikTok is no show. He’s legit awesome. He was so nice he even came out and helped my handicapped dad in the car and thanked us for coming from so far. Can’t say enough good things about it. If I lived close I’d be there for lunch daily! But I will definitely be back again. Thanks again Roger!!

Park features both pizza and deli sandwiches. Ordered the NJ Devil and was satisfied by how overstuffed and well "juiced" it was. Sweet peppers were abundant and the bread had structure and chew to handle the thinly sliced meat. Mozz was fresh too. Definitely adding to my local rotation and need to try square pies next. Note, parking is behind store on a one way Erie street, can't park on Glenn.

I have been following the "Deli Guy" for a little over a year, and today, I finally had the opportunity to see what all the hype was. Well, DA WOOD lived up to ALL THE HYPE.
The deli sits on a corner in a residential area where parking is limited, but it seems that customers have respect for the Deli Guy and the community as they park respectfully, not to block others, driveways and or park on people's property. When you walk into the store, there is pizza on the left and cold food, sweets, and sandwiches on the right. The Deli Guy was there hustling, making sandwiches with his crew. I placed my order, and I call it the "Stinky Chicken Sandwich," chicken cutlet, bacon, provolone (extra sharp), garlic/oil, and carmalized onions on a long roll. The chicken cutlet was FULL of Italian flavor, reminds me of Nonna's. The onions cooked to perfection and the bacon, thick and actually cooked. The sandwich was a 5 out of a 5 Night, Night meal. This means that if I finish it and want to take a nap afterward, I rank it as a 5.
The service was excellent. The young lady who cashed me out was very pleasant.
I will be returning very soon to try the pizza.
Spot on Deli Guy!!
