Just want to clarify the Review by Nicholas. Clint is NOT a tenant at the Brownstone Mill nor affiliated with it. He operates his independent business across the street from a storefront on Goffle Road. Please do not let Nicholas' encounter with Clint reflect on the many wonderful shopping experiences that have happened and continue at the Brownstone Mill.
So I will not be returning. there are some good shops but I don’t recommend going to Clint’s shop because he’s very overpriced and an absolute snake. He tried to take advantage of me and my money. I got a feeling that he was trying to rip me off because after I told him I don’t want to spend massive amounts of money and only have 50 dollars in my pocket he then just kept trying to get me to buy something for 50 dollars.I didn’t show it but I was incredibly uncomfortable. The picture he showed me was not a 50 dollar item and actually a 25 dollar item I can get on eBay or something. It just felt uncomfortable and honestly I am very much upset that he even tried to swindle me. He tried to hide his true intentions behind charm trying to make it sound like he was looking for something I would like to get my 50 dollars. I saw right through him which is why I didn’t buy anything. He also said to me that he buys gold coins to try to push me into selling him stuff in the future even though I never bought that up in the first place. I would never sell anything to him in the first place because of how he probably thought I didn’t know the value of antiques but i absolutely do and i know my stuff. Please stay away from Clint’s shop. I don’t want people getting ripped off and taken advantage of. I am very much disappointed and angry that Clint acted like this. I am glad I did not purchase anything.
So happy we stopped in today! The shops here are very cool, and full of unique items. There's something here to suit every budget and taste. We especially enjoyed Boyd's Interiors and their many beautiful sculptures, and Vintage Fusion. The stores are set in a series of lovely old buildings, adding to the charm of the items, allowing you to get lost in time. Of course the shop owners were great themselves, ready to answer any questions. We did however retreat pretty quickly from one store after a family arguement got a bit too loud for the small space.
This place is weird and not really worth a visit. All of the shop keepers were gathered in a back room hanging out, rendering it fully inaccessible to shoppers, the stalls were packed to the rafters without room to move, many rooms were unlit but the prices were all those of a fine antique gallery. Not worth a detour.
A genuine antiques center with knowledgeable dealers , particularly Mitch and Kristine . I travel from hours away just to visit this fine antiques haven and do business here regularly.
