I’ve been training at JJNJ for about a year now and I love it there. Coach Chad is a great professor who is not only patient but incredibly knowledgeable and a great teacher. I love that there’s a focus on takedowns and not just the ground game - the classes are not just drills, but practical applications of what we learn in class (live rolls). He really focuses on mindfulness and the community reflects that. The people there are great, all ages, all skill levels, everyone’s welcome to grow at their own pace - happy to have found a home there!
We have been coming to coach Chad for about a year with our 5 year old son. We absolutely love it! I cannot say enough great things. This is the only activity that my son actually looks forward to and never fights us to go to. Jujitsu instills strength and discipline while coach Chad and his team provide the necessary structure and patience for children. I recommend 1000%

As a beginner to Jiu-Jitsu, I have been thoroughly impressed with this academy. The training environment is exceptional, offering a perfect blend of challenging instruction and genuine support. Regardless of rank or age, all practitioners, including the higher belts (e.g., purple belts), approach training with remarkable humility and are actively supportive of newer students' growth. Coach Chad's vision is clearly focused on building a true community where everyone is dedicated to pushing, challenging, and growing together. This focus on long-term development is evident in the emphasis on safe, gentle sparring to prevent injuries.
