WHAT A TRANSFORMATION!!! We are amazed at how long our old fence lasted & shocked at how good this new fence looks. Could not be happier!! Shout out to Chris for helping us pick out a fence we can count on with our German Shepherd Max (who wants to live outdoors), & Shout out to his team (Esteban & Memo)!! I can't tell you how happy we are that we chose Chris Tanzola and his team to work with us on a large project on our home. I am incredibly impressed with the design-build team at Ken Steenstra Landscaping. We’ve been working closely with Chris Tanzola on the design for our home, and he absolutely hit it out of the park on the very first iteration. Chris listens intently, communicates flawlessly, and just completely "gets it." We are so impressed by how perfectly the design captures our needs, and how his expertise translated all our wants into elegant, functional solutions. On top of that, we also use the team for our property maintenance. That side of the business is run by Pete, who has been wonderfully accommodating and attentive to everything we need. I really don’t know how the Ken Steenstra Landscaping team does it, but they are stellar across the board. I look forward to updating this review once we break ground and bring our shared vision to life!
We used Ken Steenstra Landscaping to excavate our backyard in preparation for future landscaping and renovation projects, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. There was one small hiccup during the project, an approximately 8-foot tree stump couldn't be removed with the excavator. However, Chris quickly found a solution by coordinating with a tree service company to have it removed, which kept the project moving forward. Not only was his pricing very competitive, but what really stood out was his communication. Chris took the time to explain every step of the project, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood the process. His professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence throughout the job. We'll definitely be reaching out to Chris again for future projects. We had a great experience working with Chris and the entire Ken Steenstra team. From start to finish Chris was responsive, helpful, and honest about our project. I had a lot of questions, changed my mind a few times and Chris was extremely patient through it all. Our project entailed removing a large rock wall, re-doing our firepit area, and setting the stage for a new vegetable garden. They also put in new plantings and privacy trees along the back of the playground area they helped create. In a world where many companies are hard to get ahold of and show up when they want to Ken Steenstra was a pleasure to work with. I have several other projects I hope to get so I anticipate reaching out again soon. Do not hesitate to hire them for your next landscaping or hardscaping project.
