Tanner’s is fantastic. It’s alway hard to leave our dog, Leo, behind when we travel but I know he’s having a great time at Tanner’s! Leo looks forward to going and is always worn out and happy when we pick him up. We have used day care and boarding and both were excellent experiences. The trainers and staff are amazing and send a daily picture of your pup while you’re away. Easy to communicate via phone call or text. Highly recommend!

First and foremost, our dog absolutely loves Tanners. You can tell he's completely himself there; he howls with excitement when we walk in, and again when his name is called for pick-up. That joy and comfort says it all. The staff are wonderful. They're friendly, attentive, and have genuinely gotten to know our dog over time; you can tell they love him as much as we do. The space itself is a great enclosed outdoor area where he can play with other dogs, and there's real structure to how they run things, which gives us peace of mind. Whenever we travel, we know he's in good hands. And whenever anyone asks for daycare recommendations, Tanners is always the first place I mention. We highly recommend!

I am extremely disappointed with Tanner’s Canine Resort in Waldwick, NJ and the way they treat long-term customers. For more than two years, I trusted Tanner’s with my dog for both daycare and boarding, spending thousands of dollars. After not attending for approximately four months, I was informed that my dog needed to undergo a reassessment before being allowed back. The assessment provided by Tanner’s described my dog as overall calm, friendly, affectionate, and confident. Despite these positive observations and her successful history at the facility, Tanner’s ultimately decided not to allow her to return. I am now left scrambling to find boarding just two days before a scheduled trip. While also having to put her in a new environment. Tanners is the only place my dog has gone to for day care/boarding. After years of loyalty, trust, and financial investment in their services, I expected a more reasonable and customer-focused approach. It’s disappointing that a business that relies on repeat customers appears to place so little value on long-term relationships. When a dog with a positive history at the facility receives an assessment highlighting favorable traits and is still denied services, it raises serious questions about the consistency and fairness of the process. I supported Tanner’s for over two years because I believed they cared about both the dogs and the families they serve in the community they operate in. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling that customer loyalty is not reciprocated. Based on how this situation was handled, I cannot recommend Tanner’s to pet owners who expect consistency, transparency, and appreciation for long-term customers.

Tanners means family and that’s how they treat each and every dog in their care. We love the attention and the warm, caring treatment of our dogs. They personalize every visit! They even took one of our doodles to our vet when they thought something was wrong!

We have been bringing our dog at Tanner's for 6 years and we couldn't be happier. The staff is caring, professional and treat every dog like family. Knowing our dog Bailey is safe, loved, and well cared for gives us peace of mind whenever we drop him off. We are grateful to have found a place we fully trust and highly recommend Tanner's Canine Resort
