Tanner’s is fantastic. It’s alway hard to leave our dog, Leo, behind when we travel but I know he’s having a great time at Tanner’s! Leo looks forward to going and is always worn out and happy when we pick him up. We have used day care and boarding and both were excellent experiences. The trainers and staff are amazing and send a daily picture of your pup while you’re away. Easy to communicate via phone call or text. Highly recommend!
My “grand-dog” Mack goes to Tanner’s whenever he is visiting NJ. Both daycare and boarding have been excellent. The staff is very caring, thorough, and provides top notch service. I feel completely at ease when Mack is at Tanner’s and he has a GREAT time. I was particularly impressed by the way in which they make sure all the dogs are compatible. 100% recommend.
We started at Tanner's back when they first opened in 2020, and it was such a WONDERFUL place for him to go over the years! Our Hopper learned so much at puppy Middle School, and they helped our very anxious boy feel comfortable even with overnight boarding. He loved going to "school" (daycare) and playing with friends. Now that we moved out of state, we miss Tanner's so much! Hopper was so loved there, and it's clear how much they care about the dogs (and families) they work with. Tanner's clean, has the BEST staff, and goes above and beyond to take great care of their pups. Hopper sends all his love.
After bringing our dog to Tanner’s for over a year, we were abruptly informed by phone the next day after picking up him up that he was no longer allowed at the facility. Our dog started there at six months old and, throughout his time there, we were never notified of any issues or concerns. This decision came without warning, documentation, or an opportunity to address whatever the issue was. When we asked for an explanation, the tone of the call was short and rude. A follow up email requesting clarification was never answered. We have boarded our dog there multiple times and he has attended daycare there almost every week. Based on similar low rated Google reviews from other long time customers, this does not appear to be an isolated incident. We relied on Tanner’s as our primary option for dog care, and the lack of notice left us scrambling to find alternatives. If a business needs to end a client relationship, it should do so with respect and clear communication, especially when there is such a longstanding history. That did not happen here. We now use two other dog care facilities in the area without issue.
Tanner’s is the only place I trust to leave my dog when I travel. The staff are caring, professional, and dedicated to making sure every dog has a great experience. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and designed with dogs’ comfort and happiness in mind. Every time I drop my dog off, I know she’s in great hands. She gets plenty of playtime, attention, and care, making it feel like she’s on vacation too! It makes traveling so much easier because I never have to worry or feel guilty about leaving her behind. Plus I get photos of her everyday, for my peace of mind. Highly recommend Tanner’s for both daycare and boarding!
